The Technology

How the Kinmetrix Arc Works

The Kinmetrix Arc is an advanced robotic neck-strengthening and assessment system designed to measure and improve cervical strength safely and precisely. Unlike traditional bands, harnesses, or manual resistance, the Arc uses controlled motor-driven resistance combined with real-time sensor tracking to deliver measurable, repeatable training.

A Session, Step by Step

01

Secure Positioning

The user sits comfortably in the Arc chair with the torso stabilized. A padded, sensor-equipped head interface aligns with the natural curve of the cervical spine. This ensures safe force application while maintaining proper biomechanics throughout the session.

02

Baseline Assessment

Before training begins, the Arc performs a guided strength assessment. Users generate force in multiple directions — flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation — while the system measures force output, torque curves, fatigue patterns, and asymmetries. Within minutes, the platform creates a quantitative cervical strength profile that becomes the user's baseline for training and future comparison.

03

Intelligent Resistance Training

The Arc delivers motor-controlled resistance that adapts to the user's force in real time. It operates in isometric mode (static force against resistance) and isokinetic mode (controlled-speed movement through range). Because resistance is robotic and sensor-based, it remains smooth, consistent, and precise throughout the entire movement arc — something not possible with bands or manual loading.

04

Real-Time Data & Progress Tracking

During every session, the system captures peak force, time to peak force, endurance and fatigue curves, side-to-side asymmetries, and progress over time. This data is stored securely and displayed through the Kinmetrix analytics platform, allowing athletes, therapists, and performance staff to track improvement objectively.

05

Ongoing Progression

As strength improves, resistance and training parameters are automatically adjusted. The Arc allows safe progressive overload of the cervical musculature — targeting the full network of 30+ muscles involved in neck strength and stabilization. Every session builds on the last with measurable, data-driven progression.

Why It's Different

Most neck training devices provide resistance.

The Kinmetrix Arc provides measurable, reproducible data.

Whether used for baseline testing, performance enhancement, or rehabilitation, the Kinmetrix Arc transforms neck training from guesswork into measurable science.

Robotic & motor-controlled

Precise, repeatable resistance — not bands or manual loading.

Sensor-based & quantitative

Every session produces objective, comparable data.

Performance & rehabilitation

Designed for athletes, clinicians, and high-performance environments.

Full cervical network

Targets the complete network of 30+ muscles involved in neck strength.
